Τι είναι η υστεροσκόπηση;

Η υστεροσκόπηση χρησιμοποιείται για τη διάγνωση ή τη θεραπεία των προβλημάτων της μήτρας. Το υστεροσκόπιο είναι ένα λεπτό, φωτιζόμενο τηλεσκόπιο. Εισάγεται μέσω του κόλπου στη μήτρα σας. Το υστεροσκόπιο μεταδίδει την εικόνα της μήτρας σας σε μια οθόνη. Άλλα χειρουργικά εργαλεία μπορούν να   χρησιμοποιηθούν μαζί με το υστεροσκόπιο για θεραπεία.

Γιατί γίνεται υστεροσκόπηση;

Μία από τις πιο κοινές χρήσεις είναι στη διάγνωση της αιτίας μιας μη φυσιολογικής αιμορραγίας της μήτρας. Ανώμαλη αιμορραγία μπορεί να σημαίνει ότι η περιόδος μιας γυναίκας είναι βαρύτερη σε χρονική διάρκεια και ποσότητα αίματος από το συνηθισμένο ή και το αντίστροφο. Αιμορραγία μεταξύ περιόδων, επίσης, δεν είναι φυσιολογική.

Υστεροσκόπηση χρησιμοποιείται και στις ακόλουθες καταστάσεις:

Πώς γίνεται;

Πριν από τη διαδικασία, μπορεί να σας δοθεί ένα φάρμακο για να σας βοηθήσει να χαλαρώσετε. Γενική ή τοπική αναισθησία μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για να εμποδίσει τον πόνο.

Τι θα πρέπει να περιμένω κατά τη διάρκεια της ανάρρωσης;

Θα πρέπει να είστε σε θέση να πάτε στο σπίτι αμέσως μετά τη διαδικασία. Αν είχατε γενική αναισθησία, μπορεί να χρειαστεί να περιμένετε έως ότου συνέλθετε τελείως.

Είναι φυσιολογικό να αισθανθείτε ήπιες κράμπες ή να δείτε λίγο αιματηρή έκκριση για λίγες ημέρες μετά τη διαδικασία. Μπορεί να σας δοθεί φαρμακευτική αγωγή για να μετριάσει τον πόνο. Εάν έχετε πυρετό, ρίγη, ή βαριά αιμορραγία, καλέστε τον γιατρό σας αμέσως.
